was the recipient of the Eric Harrison Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $1000. She is the daughter of Todd Farmer and Mary Straub. She plans to attend the University of Toledo and study nursing.
Attending Northern Michigan University this fall, the daughter of Rhonda Barron, Grace Barron, was awarded the Evelyn (Hitchingham) Gerstenberg Scholarship for $1000 for two years and $500 from the David Glenn Memorial Scholarship Fund.
A $1000 Milan Area Schools Board of Education Scholarship was awarded to Tyler Gyulveszi. He will be attending Michigan State University this fall. He is majoring in computer engineering. His parents are Scott and Dena Gyulveszi.
Alexis Fetteroff-Starbird has been awarded $1000 from the Duane & Isabelle Schultz Milan Area Schools Alumni Scholarship Fund. The daughter of Ian and Sarah Fetteroff plans to study premedicine and major in biomedical sciences at CMU.
With plans of attending Grand Valley State University, Mary Racette was the recipient of a $1000 Milan Area Schools Board of Education Scholarship. The daughter of Richard and Ann-Marie Racette, Mary plans to study multimedia journalism at GVSU.
The son of Matthew and Jessica Stafford, Max Stafford was awarded a $500 scholarship from the Caroline O’Donnell and Judy Heath Memorial Scholarship Fund. Max is attending Kenyon College to study biology for pre-med while on the swim team.
Ariana Bolanos plans to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology and study sustainable fashion. She is the daughter of Pablo Bolanos and Jennifer Bolanos, Arianna was awarded a $1000 Michael A. Tittiger Sustainability & Conservation Scholarship.
Awarded a $1000 Milan Area Schools Board of Education Scholarship, Julia Woelmer plans to attend the University of Michigan following a course of study in interdisciplinary chemical sciences. Julia is the daughter of Michael and Christine Woelmer.
Reagan Hampsher is the daughter of Christopher and Danielle Hampsher. She was awarded a $1500 Ethel Richards Scholarship. Her plans include attending Columbia College Chicago and studying music business and marketing.
With plans to attend Central Michigan University this fall, Emily Arms will be majoring in music education. She has been awarded the David Glenn Memorial Scholarship in the amount of $500. Emily is the daughter of Richard and JoAnne Arms.
Also awarded a $1500 Ethel Richards Scholarship was Sydney Maranville. She is Clay and Lori Maranville’s daughter and will be attending Grand Valley State University in the fall and will be majoring in business.
Awarded a $1500 Ethan C. Jones Memorial Scholarship, Madeleine Davis will be attending Michigan State University in the nursing program the fall of 2018. Madeleine’s mother is Jamie Davis and her father is deceased.
A $1000 Duane and Isabelle Schultz Milan Area Schools Alumni Scholarship and a $1000 Milan Area Schools Board of Education Scholarship were awarded to Leigha Chrysler, daughter of Chad Chrysler and Kerri Bergman. She is attending U of M majoring in biopsychology, cognition and neuroscience.
Colin Swope has been awarded two scholarships including a $500 Ethan C. Jones Memorial Scholarship and The Ronnie and Paulette Shores Scholarship for $2000 a year for four years. Colin is the son of Patricia Oliver and plans to study culinary arts at Schoolcraft College.
Kolette Comstock, daughter of Annette Apple has been awarded a Milan Adult Education Scholarship in the amount of $350. She has plans of opening a beauty/barber shop or starting a catering company.
