Steve Gunderson Heads Council on Foundations

On October 1, former Wisconsin Congressman Steve Gunderson succeeded Dorothy S. Ridings as president and CEO of the Council on Foundations. Ridings served as head of the Council since 1996.

Gunderson served eight terms in the House of Representatives before choosing not to seek re-election in 1996. Most recently he was managing director of the Washington office of the Greystone Group, a Michigan-based management and communications consulting firm.

“The Council and its member organizations are working every day to lift the lives of people across America and around the world,” Gunderson said. “I am honored by this opportunity to join them in reinforcing that remarkable contribution.” To read the full press release, visit the Council website .

New Board Members

April brought five new members to the board of directors. They are: Sue Brown, Nancy Doane, Larry Feiler, Steve Lindberg, and Tom Miller III.  These good folks will serve to replace our outgoing board members: LaVerne Ausman, Mark Dahms, Joe Jax, Liz Lammer, and Judy Sawin.  Many thanks to their years of service!
